Zahra Grammar School provides a strong, inclusive learning environment based on a wide
variety of programs from the NSW Education Standards and supported with extra-curricular
activities developed by the staff.
As the school principal, it is my mission to facilitate both teachers and students to lead a
fruitful and fulfilling life. It has been our core mission to provide a well-rounded education
based on Islamic principles and foster a balanced development in moral, intellectual,
physical, social, aesthetic and spiritual spheres.
Zahra Grammar School provides learning programs for students which are systematic and
explicit in nature. Our classes have a strong focus in technology, with both teachers and
students using and learning with technology. Every classroom has an Interactive Whiteboard
which incorporates both literacy and numeracy lesson activities.
At Zahra, We believe that Allah (SWT) has given every one of us unique talents for a
purposeful life. It is therefore our core belief that our students should pursue their dreams
through education and serve others with their strengths and talents. Teachers are to offer
them guidance and support in their journey of self-discovery and exploration of strengths.
At Zahra, our aim is to provide a rigorous academic program that addresses the needs of all
students to ensure sequential development across all Key Learning Areas; develop a safe,
supportive, challenging and friendly learning environment; Develop confident, life-long
learners; Recognise and nurture individual talents and gifts; Through positive
communication, foster cooperation and support within the wider school community.
A key feature of Zahra Grammar School’s success is the active involvement in students in
the life of the school. The school offers a diverse range of leadership opportunities for all
students. By involving students in leadership activities is a useful strategy for gaining the
cooperation of students and increasing the value of schooling for both students and their
families. Zahra Grammar believes that Student Leadership allows students to learn about
social justice as they participate in activities that highlight the roles and responsibilities of
being a part of a diverse community.
Schools are great places when parents and teachers work together for our children. This is
